Having given us a start date, you were able to begin work a week earlier and we were delighted that you were able to complete the project within the agreed time, consulting us regularly as you went along. Throughout the project, you worked in an efficient, safe and tidy manner and we are very pleased with the quality of the finished work. You and your team were very reliable and professional and always punctual and polite.

For some time I had been considering having the patio in my garden re-done, when the house had been built concrete slabs and a considerable amount of decking had been used. A neighbour had just had their garden redesigned and laid by a company called Olive Garden Design. On their recommendation and the work that I had seen I phoned Christian and he arranged to come and discuss my ideas and give me a quote.
He arrived as arranged, was willing to listen to my suggestions and offered his own and an acceptable detailed quote was sent within several days.
From the offset he was very honest and straightforward. He openly stated he would not be able to start the work for several weeks (I was pleased not to have him say he could start immediately and then go off and leave me with a half finished project!). The start date was within a couple of days of his original estimate. He arrived on time, was efficient, polite and incredibly tidy, as were the people he had working for him and the project was completed well ahead of schedule and much to my satisfaction.
The transformation to my garden is tremendous - everyone who has seen it so far is very impressed with the design and level of workmanship. But what has impressed me most about this young man and his business is the professionalism, consideration and politeness with which it is carried out, he even phoned several weeks after completion to see if everything was satisfactory. I would without any hesitation recommend him to anyone considering having any work done at their home.

From our very first meeting, you remained very professional and made us feel like you would take all of the hassle and worry away from us. From the initial design to the scoping of the work you helped us decide on what was appropriate. As a result it combines the practicality that we asked for, with a garden that looks stunning. We are so glad that we listened to you.
We were both very impressed with the standard of your hard landscaping and the idea to use Indian Sandstone has proved perfect.
As we both work it was important that we could leave you to "get on with things". Each day it was amazing with the progress that you made and how little mess you left behind. Dear Christian,
Following the successful completion of the "Pond Project" at the above address, I would like to express my thanks for a job well done. The project which included the building of a 6,000 Litre Pond complete with feature waterfall and underwater lights, the making­over and landscaping of adjacent flower beds/shrubberies, the relocation/relaying of the main patio, the installation of garden lighting and the installation of land drains in the main lawn was included on budget and on time in mid-July just in time for the glorious summer that most of us have enjoyed. Everybody who has seen the pond has remarked on what a good job it is and how established it looks. The Nidderdale stone that you used makes it look as though the pond has always been there and now that it is stocked with fish and amphibious wild life has found its way in, it really does look the business.
Maureen and I have spent many days and evenings in the newly styled garden and I have to say it has been a thoroughly worthwhile investment. Once again thanks for your efforts and in particular for being such a clean and tidy person; considering the amount of earth and rubble that was moved out the garden could have been reduced to a building site but some how you kept most of the garden in commission for the duration of the project.

We appointed Christian to re-Iandscape our garden in July 2004. The job entailed the closure of one entrance, the creation of a new entrance, and a complete restructuring of the garden area, including the creation of a large patio area. He estimated that the work would involve the use of plant machinery, along with a series of skips to remove excess soil and rubbish. He aimed to re-use as much stone as he could, and to complete the work in 5 ½- 6 weeks.

We have been both pleasantly surprised and delighted with the result, achieved on time, and for the agreed price.

Christian impressed us with his project management, which required careful co-ordination for the various elements to come together; his approachability when we needed to discuss any part of the project, and we were particularly pleased with the way in which he interpreted the design he was required to follow. The garden took shape, and through careful attention to detail, has become the living space we had intended it to be.

Christian also proved to be utterly reliable and trust worthy, as the job had to continue whilst we were on holiday.

Christian Deighton undertook two design and landscaping projects at our house in February 2004, which lasted for 2.5 weeks. We jointly agreed the plans and took Christian's advice about materials and design and have been extremely happy with the results.
During that time, he worked relentlessly in all weather conditions - I don't think we've met a more conscientious worker! Christian was also very flexible and at times went above and beyond the call of duty (unblocking blocked drains for us!). We trusted him with our house keys over the length of the project without any concerns.
We have been delighted with the high quality of his work and his professional approach and we would not hesitate to recommend him.

I approached Christian Deighton and Olive Garden Design and Landscaping and requested ideas with a view to enhancing our back yard. It was an uninspiring oppressive space forming part of a three story Victorian Town house, although slightly larger than the average back yard found in these types of properties. From the very first instance Christian was prompt and creative with ideas, delivering plans and estimated costs within 24 hours. Over a period of a week Christian modified these ideas and suggested ways of making the price manageable that brought the project well within our budget. These plans were essentially splitting the garden into three sections that would contain decking, a large patio and an area with a pergola.
Despite a busy schedule Olives were able to find a start date approximately three weeks after my initial contact. This I appreciated given that we were approaching spring, and the demand for garden 'make overs' is high at this time of year.

Olives were always extremely punctual, efficient and tidy when working. The job was completed on time and to our total satisfaction. The most pleasing aspect of their work is an ability to be flexible if an idea is not quite working or to actually suggest a superior way of achieving an effect without going over budget.

In addition Christian himself cared very much about his work and the safety of our property whilst on the premises. It was enjoyable to have Christian around and I totally recommend Olive Garden Design and Landscaping without any reservations.
