The brief for this small garden was to remove all grass and create a low maintenance garden to relax in.
After removing the lawn and soil we added a membrane and compacted hardcore stone level over the area. We then built the seating area, which was built from concrete blocks with the fronts being rendered and the tops finished with granite stone pieces.
The next step was to add the deck and seating wooden frames.
We then added the hardwood decking leaving cables showing ready for the deck lights to be attached.
The seat tops were also constructed from hardwood deck boards, and at the rear of the seats, a planting area was filled with soil and compost with bamboos hiding the garage wall behind it, with grasses also being added.
The rendered walls were painted gardenia white and the deck lights were positioned into the decking. Steps were constructed to get to the garden area which was now totally transformed and ready to use.
