The garden area here was extremely wet and needed some drainage as well as
all the clay soil removing from the site.

The area was firstly stripped of the turf and sub-soil, before
the task of adding the land drains. These were laid out in a
herring-bone design to catch all surface water.
The drainage was wrapped in membrane to stop the soil contaminating
the gravel and pipe work. Railway sleepers were used to retain
the plant beds to the rear and sides of the garden.
The decking frames being constructed.
As well as the pergola posts & cross – beams
Pergola erected and top deck under construction. The pergola
followed the route of the pathway to the top deck area.
Hardwood decking laid to main areas; all boards are piloted
first before screws fixings – this stops splitting.
Stepping stones connect across the levelled lawn and turf being
laid.
The lawn has taken and trees planted to rear of garden – lights
added to deck area and pathway under the pergola.
