Garden with wheelchair access and opening the area up to create more space.

This garden had a difficult access path to the rear of the house and large walls which enclosed the whole area.

We needed to open the area up and create an access ramp for a wheelchair.

First we got an excavator to dig out all the area and clear up waste.

All the stone from the old walls which had come down was cleaned and
stored ready to be re-used in building the new ramp wall and also new steps to a side garden.

The ramp had 2 landings incorporated into it, one half way up and one near the top.
This was due to the length of the ramp and the height which it had to climb.

New soil being levelled to the lawn area, ready to be turfed.

The driveway had new stone edgings and new pillars built ready for electric gates to be fitted.

Hoggin or self binding gravel was laid to the prepared driveway base, levelled out and compacted.

New turf laid to the lawn areas and all coping stones to the wall tops
with stepping stones laid into the lawn to connect the driveway
to the access ramp completed this project.
